It's not a suggestion !!

Forgiveness is not easy, but it is not meant as a suggestion but a requirement. Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
I believe we all know that feeling when God is weighing on our hearts to do something that we may not be comfortable doing. Whatever our reasons in why we don’t want to do it. We are to not to begin looking at the Word of God as if it were suggestions instead of commandments and requirements. As though we can be pleasing to God without forgiveness, but forgiven others just makes us more pleasing. It doesn't work like that.
Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
As we can see, there is no alternate way. We either enter the kingdom of Heaven through Jesus Christ, or we don’t enter in at all. Likewise when it comes to forgiveness, unless we forgive we won’t be forgiven.
I was talking to another brother here recently. We discussed how do you know if you truly forgave someone. Basically what he said was, if you say you forgive, but still hold on to what the other person may have done, you haven’t forgave. If you say you have forgiven, yet when you see the person all the old feelings stir up again and causes you to act accordingly, (according to your flesh) you haven’t forgave.Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Grab and go: I know it cuts like a knife to forgive someone, especially when you feel they don’t deserve it. But what if God felt that way about you? None of us our deserving of forgiveness yet while in the midst of our sin He died for you and pardon our sins. Never to bring up that which we did in our old life again. Who is a God like our God? Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Let go of what it is your holding against your neighbor/brother/sister and walk in the liberty of forgiveness.

Humble Yourselves !!

John 13:12-17
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
We as believers have a tendency to feel as though we are supposed to somehow be esteemed. We may not say it verbally but it’s visible in our actions. We may sometimes involve ourselves in conversations that really have no profitable gain just to demonstrate the knowledge we may have of the bible. Or to feel as though we’re important because we have memorize some scriptures. I love the fact that in this passage of scripture Jesus washes the feet of those who are following after Him. Then tells them that they should do the same for one another.  How selfless is that? He tells them you call me Lord and master, and you should because I am, but understand the order and structure. Jesus was sent by God and we are sent by Him, and we should serve one another in humility that no one person thinks of himself to be more than he is.
Grab and go: Early in this chapter. Peter is baffled by the fact that his teacher, Lord and master is washing the feet of those who aren’t worthy, (including himself) to strap the lace of his shoe and doesn’t want Jesus to wash his feet. Jesus says unto him, unless He washes him, he would not be clean.  John 13:6-8. James 1: 9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted. Humble yourself before God, and demonstrate the Love of God by serving one another with patience, longsuffering and humility.

Jesus in the work place.

Luke 2:41-52
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

What I would like to point out from this passage of scripture is the fact that Jesus was in the company of many business professionals (Doctors/Teachers) much like ourselves at work.  They were astonished by His wisdom and understanding. We too are gifted and endowed from all high to preach God’s Truth with all wisdom and understanding. So when given the opportunity don’t shy away. If all you know is that Jesus Christ died and He rose again then proclaim that truth with all wisdom and understanding. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. There will be those that are amazed and astonish by such truth.
I look at Joseph and Mary like our supervisors / managers on our jobs. They have a purpose, and they keep order and functionality of the business. In much of the same way the Jesus earthly parents looked after Him. But with that being said they are not the Ceo’s, they are not the owners. Although His parents and our supervisors have a purpose. That doesn't negate us from the will of God.  Which is to 1st Love Him with all our hearts and soul and 2nd Love one another with just as much conviction, to care enough not to see someone perish. We have to be about our Father’s business 1st. Don’t pass up an opportunity because it’s frowned upon in the work place.

Grab and go: With all that was said, don’t feel you can tell you supervisors or your parents whatever comes to mind, however you please. Jesus expressed to His parents His 1st priority, yet He was subject unto them.        1 Peter 2:13-16  Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Be about your Father's business yet do so in wisdom.

Sun up, to sun down!

The Word of God is found in everything that we do. Just this morning as I was driving my children to school, I notice that when I was headed towards the school the sun seemed directly in front of me. Sometime it would be so bright that it would be hard to see. I would have to pull down the visor just to continue on. Likewise when I was headed in the other direction opposite of that of the school, the sun would be behind me. So there was no need for the visor. I could see with no problem.

Applying that to the Word it seems when we are headed in the direction that God has called us to go, sometimes it becomes a little difficult to see the road ahead. But we are not to be in despair but realize that God has already made provisions to see you through. That like that visor, God has given us help, through the Holy Spirit, to enable us to overcome all obstacles. Funny that when I was headed in the opposite direction, I seemingly did not need the visor. Everything was illuminated well enough for me to see everything, except the sun/son.
John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforterthat he may abide with you for ever;17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Grab and Go: 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. Don’t let your own eyes fool you into thinking that as long as you can see the outcome of a situation that it somehow must be the direction God will have you walk. Truth be told, when you can see it too clearly where you don’t need a visor. Where it seems only logical to do a certain thing. That’s the indication that you’re headed in the wrong direction. God never said it would be easy, He just promised that He would see you through it if you believe in Him.

Jesus will Not Fail !!

Matthew 14:31-33
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
As we read yesterday, that as peter begin to sink he cried out, “Lord save me”. “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Don’t think that when we call out to Jesus that he doesn't immediately move on our behalf. It may not be in the fashion that we think. But trust immediately He begins to make provisions for us. Have faith that if God has called you to do something even if or I should say especially if it’s beyond comprehension and reasoning know that He doesn't desire to see you fail or parish. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Grab and go: Of a truth, surely God has proven to you time and time before that He will never fail you. Take the time to acknowledge Him for His faithfulness towards us, and worship Him not because of what He has done or is going to do for us, but because He is God and God alone. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

If it be thou.

Matthew 14:28-30
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

My wife and I talked about these verses last night in bed. To me, when I read these verses, I received more of the fact that Peter had a desire to be different and that he was willing to step out on faith as a result Jesus called him out. Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
The way that my wife received it was the fact that Peter had a desire to be wherever Jesus is. He saw an opportunity, but he needed Jesus to confirm it for him first.  To say that, “if this is of you Lord, prove it to me, tell me plainly”. And Jesus said “Come”. Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
So essentially before Jesus proved anything or showed Himself able. It was required of Peter to do his part and step out. Just like in the book of Malachi, it’s required to bring the tithes unto the Lord 1st that there will be sufficiency in the House of the Lord.  Then will your barns or your homes be bursting over with an overflow.

Grab and go: I’m grateful for the revelation that God gave my wife. He showed me that although spending time alone with Him is necessary, but not to forget that He has given her to me for a purpose. That we should continue to spend time together in His word that we may grow in completeness.  Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

In the fourth watch of the night.

Matthew 14:25-27
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

At an unexpected hour Jesus went unto his disciples.

In this chapter we read that Jesus had just fed the 5000. Afterward He told his disciples to depart and go before Him while He sent the multitudes away. While in a doing what Jesus had instructed them to do, they were essentially waiting to reunite with Him.  25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. At an unexpected time somewhere around 3 or 6 am, (when most of us are sleep) Jesus went unto them.
Not expecting to see Him in the manor that they did, they were afraid. Like many of us that expecting things to go a certain way, and when they don’t we become afraid, uncertain and less confident in what we know is true (God’s Word). Jesus knowing our flaws still comforts by saying to us “be not afraid” ,” it is I”.
Grab and go: Sometimes the way we expect for God to show up for us isn't the way that He does it at all. Sometimes He speaks to us in our dreams through visions because our natural minds expect for Him to show up when we are awake. When we are awake we sometimes become afraid of what it is that we saw because our natural mind can’t make since of it. But that’s when we have to recall the scripture that says “be not afraid; it is I” Matthew 14:27.

Take up thy bed!!

John 5:2-9
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
How many of us, like the man with the infirmity have been waiting on someone else for a breakthrough. Waiting on someone else or some divine instants to occur to ensure our blessing. This man had been by the water for 38 years waiting for someone else to ensure his deliverance. He didn't even realize when Jesus was standing before him that his healing and deliverance was nigh unto him. We can be the same way at times. Waiting on someone else or blaming our circumstance for our misfortune.
Jesus simply said wilt thou be made whole? Basically saying do you really desire to be made whole? Do you really want this like you say you do? If you do then, what’s stopping you? Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Rise, take up thy bed and walk. Jesus has all power and authority in the palm of His hands. NOTHING by any means can hurt us nor have the power to overcome us NOTHING. Not even death. We operate under the same authority. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Grab and go: If you truly desire deliverance from whatever the enemy is afflicting you with. I don’t care if it’s Low self-worth, financial burden, sickness in your flesh. Speak to your situation and Rise Up.

Metamorphosis:The Reproductive Stage

Adult: The Reproductive Stage

The adult stage is what most people think of when they think of butterflies. They look very different from the larva. The caterpillar has a few tiny eyes, stubby legs and very short antennae. The adults have long legs, long antennae, and compound eyes. They can also fly by using their large and colorful wings. The one thing they can't do is grow.
The caterpillar's job was to eat. The adult's job is to mate and lay eggs. Some species of adult butterflies get energy by feeding on nectar from flowers but many species don't feed at all.
Flying comes in handy. The adult female can easily fly from place to place to find the right plant for its eggs. This is important because caterpillars can't travel far.
Most adult butterflies live only one or two weeks, but some species hibernate during the winter and may live several months.

Beautiful butterfly:
This is the stage where many of us want people to see us. We don’t want people to see us at the caterpillar or pupa stage in our lives. All we want them to see and all that most people see is the end result of the transformation not the process. (They see your glory not your story)
Yet with that being said this is also the stage where the attack from the enemy becomes a little more advance. Pride becomes a major factor in the downfall of many Christians. We feel that we earn the right to fluff our wings a little because we've gone through so much right? Wrong, this stage is where we have to get to work. God has prepared you, equipped you and ordained you to do His will. John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Grab and go: Like the butterfly, for the survival of its species it has to get busy reproducing. We to must produce much fruit and use all that God has equipped us with to help others do the same.

Metamorphosis:The Transition stage

Pupa:
When the caterpillar is full grown and stops eating, it becomes a pupa. The pupa of butterflies is also called a chrysalis.
Depending on the species, the pupa may suspend under a branch, hidden in leaves or buried underground. The pupa of many moths is protected inside a cocoon of silk.
This stage can last from a few weeks, a month or even longer. Some species have a pupa stage that lasts for two years.
It may look like nothing is going on but big changes are happening inside. Special cells that were present in the larva are now growing rapidly. They will become the legs, wings, eyes and other parts of the adult butterfly. Many of the original larva cells will provide energy for these growing adult cells.

The Transition stage:
This is a stage where many believers become stuck or stale. A place where we may have been for weeks, months ,or even years. Some of us never even come out of this stage. Many of us have throughout the years; have fed so much on the Word (grown up in church or regular church goer) that we've become bloated with the truth. What I mean is, we have so much so called knowledge of God but yet no evidence that He is evident. James 2: 17 (AMP)So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). James 2: 26 For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.
I feel the Holy Spirit moving on this message for the fact that the message is speaking directly to someone’s situation. You may feel something stirring inside you saying it’s not enough for me just say I’m a Christian and I love God. It’s time for me to do more for Christ. It’s time for me to step outside of my comfortable cocoon and do the work He has called me to do.
Grab and go: The cocoon stage can last from a few weeks, a month or even longer. Some species have a pupa stage that lasts for two years”. How long will you remain inside your cocoon? Comfortable in transition, but never transiting. You have a purpose, and if you are not being used for your purpose what are you doing?   Matthew 5:13-16

Don’t let the enemy fool you to think that you have everything you need inside this cocoon, so why should you leave. God wants to use you. He wants you to spread your wings and fly. But that will never happen if you remain inside your own little shell, your pupa stage.

Metamorphosis: Feeding stage

Yesterday we talked about the 1st stage which was the egg. Today we are going to discuss the 2nd stage the caterpillar which is the feeding stage.
The next stage is the larva. This is also called a caterpillar if the insect is a butterfly or a moth.
The job of the caterpillar is to eat and eat and eat. As the caterpillar grows it splits its skin and sheds it about 4 or 5 times. Food eaten at this time is stored and used later as an adult.
Caterpillars can grow 100 times their size during this stage. For example, a monarch butterfly egg is the size of a pinhead and the caterpillar that hatches from this tiny egg isn't much bigger. But it will grow up to 2 inches long in several weeks.
For the believer this is a very crucial stage, the feeding stage. If we are to grow at all we must be fed, the Word of God. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
The more we grow in Christ, (the more we eat of the bread of life) the more we die to self. 1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die dailyIt’s like the caterpillar splitting its skin and getting rid of the old skin.
Being fed the Word now at this stage will essentially ensure proper growth and success. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Grab and go: John 6: 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Unless we eat and be fed of the Bread of Life (Jesus Christ) we shall have no part in eternal Life.

Metamorphosi

Good morning family and God bless.
This week I would like to talk about the process of a believer. I would like to take you through a series of four steps that resemble that of a butterfly. Those steps being 1st egg, 2nd Caterpillar, 3rd Pupa and finally the 4th stage an adult butterfly.

Let’s start with step 1, the egg.

Eggs are laid on plants by the adult female butterfly. These plants will then become the food for the hatching caterpillars.Eggs can be laid from spring, summer or fall. This depends on the species of butterfly. Females lay a lot of eggs at once so that at least some of them survive.Butterfly eggs can be very small.

Now instead of eggs look at this process for us like seeds, and how they are sown. Seeds are to be sown everywhere. We are to proclaim the gospel in all seasons in any instants.  Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
Understand that proclaiming the gospel (spreading the Word) is like sowing seeds in the hearts of those who may not otherwise receive the truth. Those that will receive the truth will then begin to be filled with Manna, bread of Heaven which is also the Word of God. Notice that like the butterfly process, the place where the egg is 1st laid is also where it begins to be filled. (Parents, it starts at home)
Like the egg we start off in the eyes of others that may not understand our process as something small or insignificant. But like satan if they only knew what was about to happen. They wouldn't feel that way.

Grab and go: Females lay a lot of eggs at once so that at least some of them survive. Not everyone that hears the Word will receive the Word. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. But it’s still our purpose even if they don’t want to hear it, to preach and do so often, so that some at least some of them will survive. 2 Timothy 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelistmake full proof of thy ministry.

You can come Home

For that prodigal son that may have ventured off, and desires now to come home.

Ezekiel 33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

“Restore the pledge”, which is your open mouth confession and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
“Give again what was robbed”, which is giving your life back unto God, for your Life is not your own 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Walk in the statutes of life”. Romans: 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
“Without committing iniquity”. Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
By this are we promised Life, that which is everlasting.

Grab and go: Luke 15:21-24
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Make the best of a 2nd Chance

It is safe to say that God is constantly pursuing us throughout our whole lives. He does so, so passionately because of His Love for us. That we would see life and not death. Selah Amen.

But does that ever change? Does He eventually one day get tired of you mocking Him and ignoring His call? Does He get fed up with you seeing just how far you can go before you will come back?  The answer is yes He does. But being the most merciful God that He is, we are given more chances and opportunities that any of us can even count or remember for that matter.  But you say” He is God and He supposed to let me do what I want some times”, “I mean show us limitless mercy” .Do we dare say that He is not fair ?

Ezekiel 18:21-25 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

Grab and Go:  We expect God to let us live however we feel is adequate for us and He in turn be pleased with it. That may work for your earthly father but not for our Heavenly one. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
